“If It’s Not Me, Then Help Another Farmer”

They’ve worked a lifetime.

But somehow, when they grow old, when illness knocks, or when the money runs out… they become invisible.

If you’re poor and gain weight, people look away. If you’re rich and “plump,” you’re called radiant, full of life.

If your land is humble, they say it’s wasted. But if a developer takes it for condos or casinos, suddenly it has value.

We’ve got time to kill, but not time to mend our food chain, or our neighbor’s hearts.

I run Grace Harvest Haven — a small, faith-led farm healing retreat for people 50+ with terminal illness. It’s not backed by millions. But it is backed by hope.

I believe the land still heals. I believe we all have something to give — a listening ear, time, skills, land, knowledge. You don’t need a blue checkmark or a million dollars to make an impact.

But I’ve seen how quick people are to trust status over sincerity. How we pick and choose who’s “worthy” of help based on popularity or image.

Why is everything a risk, except staying silent?

If it’s not me you support, then help another farmer. Help someone doing the work.

We are losing our land.
We are losing our elders.
We are losing our way.

But not all at once. It’s happening in small, quiet ways.

🌱 Will you be part of the quiet that saves — not the silence that forgets?

Tell me what you still have to give.
✍️ Drop it in the comments. Someone out there may need it more than you know.
